Bixmile and fAsterX Sailing Team Bixmile is supporting the fAsterX sailing team. Via the Race Winning Version of Bixmile BX3, the fAsterX sailing is helped in sail selection, tactical decision making, sail/sailor analysis, target boat speed and postrace performance analysis.
	The Introduction of Bixmile BX3 Performance Software More than a year of development has gone in a package that will become the world standard. It is both easy to use and gives the user the more advanced functions only seen on the grand prix yachts until now. To start with, the BX3 package plots your track on a chart, repeats your instruments, adds instruments by calculation and shows you changes in for example the wind direction. Some of the more advanced functions include, real time displaying of reached boat speed, calculating IMS-target boat speed, saving your boat settings to make comparisons of races easy and interesting. 	Making the best even better... A real time wind speed polar diagram has been added to the Bixmile BX3 Package. This diagram helps you to choose the best sail to use for a trip and get more speed out of your sail wardrobe. No other software package has yet used the clarity of a "wind speed" polar diagram for the complex task of sail selection. Wind speed polar diagrams are also introduced by bixmile.Bixmile is leading the industry for analysis software yet again. By placing all speed information from your personal sailing history in one diagram, your get a picture like the one to the right. For all wind speeds and wind angles the fastest sail is shown in a sail specific color.
	The bixmile package learns to speak... The development team has been working on it for the last three months, now -you- can use it. A new text-to-speech module is added to the bixmile package. This module gives the bixmile package a voice to tell you the things you want to know. For example during a race just after passing a waypoint, the module will tell you your new direction to steer and the name of the next waypoint. Due to the flexibitity of this module, which is not based on prerecorded sounds, but is fully generated real time, the bixmile package is able to tell you the name of a waypoint, its direction and other things like telling you the time to the start of a race.
